About Us
Together We can make a Safe Place to Live In.
Having realized the significance of Boudhanath Stupa and need for taking action to manage drainage system, sweep, collect and proper disposal of garbage and create a suitable area to rest and relax for pilgrims/visitors while preserving open natural spaces surrounding the Stupa and its vicinity, the Green and Clean Team Nepal(GCT), an initiative began by local youths on their own since 2022.
Our Activities
What We Do
Protect Environment
Championing environmental advocacy is crucial for protecting our planet. By raising awareness, promoting sustainable practices, and fostering collective action, we safeguard the environment for current and future generations.
Plantation of Trees
In collaboration with local and government bodies in Nepal, we've planted over 100 trees. Encouraging nearby residents to adopt them as part of their garden flora, fostering a sense of collective responsibility.
Garbage Collection
Our dedicated team of over 10 active members, diligently sweeps and collects waste every morning. To date, we have successfully gathered and managed more than 450,000 units of waste.
Reduce Pollution
Our cleaning efforts have significantly reduced air pollution around Boudhanath Stupa. By clearing waste and promoting a cleaner environment, we contribute to the improved air quality in the region.
